Providing cleaning solutions for platforms, vessels and portable tanks in support of drilling activities.
At Tiger, we know that maintaining your equipment at its highest operational capacity is critical so we provide tank cleaning services to meet the international demand.
Tiger is recognized for our safety track record and consistently delivering outstanding performance in confined space tank cleaning services globally. We provide de-sludging and decontamination for both liquid and dry bulk storage tanks, utilizing intrinsically safe technology and robust safety procedures to remove various contaminants inclusive of hydrocarbon-based fluids, sludges, SOBMs, WBMs, cement, barite and other dry bulk products. Our typical applications include cleaning of PSVs, Super Tankers, USTs, Pressure Vessels, Cargo Tanks, Ballast Tanks, FPSOs & MODUs.
Tiger handles a multitude of waste streams providing safe storage and transport solutions in compliance with our Journey Management Program. We also provide waste treatment and disposal solutions either at a certified Tiger facility or a 3rd party sub-contractor depending on the work site location.
Our operations are governed by Safe Work Procedures, which are customized specifically to the job being performed regardless of the application or the tank contents. Our cleaning systems provide a safe, efficient, engineered and environmentally compliant solution with guaranteed results. Tanks and vessels are returned to their original state, free of contamination with minimal interruption to daily operations.
Tiger Offshore Rentals offers automated cleaning systems for drilling rigs, production platforms, portable tanks, marine supply vessels, and above and below ground storage tanks. Our processes facilitate the reuse of water, therefore reducing the waste volume and cost for final disposal. Our automated cleaning system is one of the most reliable and time-efficient solutions for tank cleaning
Tiger offers turnkey project management services for your confined space cleaning applications. Our goal is to provide clients with an expedited ‘cradle to grave service’ while ensuring quality, safety and protection of personnel and the environment. We work closely with clients to determine the type of tank cleaning needed based on an assessment of remaining product (ROB) identification, hazards, and the tank condition.
Our experienced team will provide a Project Execution Plan that outlines critical areas to address such as, scope of work, risk assessment, permit to work, job safety analysis, emergency response, evacuation procedures, as well as hazardous waste management.
Automated Tank Cleaning (ATC)
Tiger’s ATC Process uses a closed loop system with chemically enhanced biodegradable micro surfactant pumped at high pressure to the strategically placed cleaning nozzles.
Several high trajectory cleaning cycles will take place with continuous monitoring of the tank surfaces. The system fluidizes heavy solids and separates oil, water and solids. This allows the wash water to be reused, thereby minimizing overall water usage and total waste produced for ex-situ treatment.
Benefits of Automated Tank Cleaning System:
Dry Bulk Tank Cleaning (Vacuum Systems)
Dry Bulk Tanks (cement, barite, calcium carbonate, sulphur and edible grain) are semi-automatically cleaned using powerful vacuum suction to remove and transport the residual powders to the hopper unit. This enables dust free removal and packaging of the waste into jumbo bags for disposal or re-purposing.
Confined space entry personnel equipped with appropriate breathing apparatus will be required to manage the hoses and ensure thorough removal of any solidified product from the tank surfaces.
Hazardous Waste Management
Tiger has established state-of-the-art technology for management and treatment of hazardous waste at our certified locations. Tiger also manages a network of 3rd party contractors to ensure any subcontracted hazardous waste is transported and disposed of in the appropriate manner and as per regulatory requirements. Tiger has developed and implemented all the “cradle to grave” stewardship documentation to ensure our clients’ environmental due diligence and to protect their corporate image.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE)
Tiger’s robust QHSE standard operating procedures and documentation are imperative to ensure the consistency and quality of our services globally. Tiger’s total project management approach means that irrespective of location, clients will benefit from safer operations and compliant hazardous waste management.
Tiger’s employees are continuously trained and certified in the main safety standards needed to perform our operational tasks competently, including:
Environmental Best Practices
Tiger’s objective is to implement waste valorization processes where applicable including the development of methods for the repurposing of waste for beneficial reuse. For example, all wastewater generated from the tank cleaning exercise is recovered and processed for reuse. The waste solids are treated in accordance with regulatory requirements and internationally accepted environmental standards and can be repurposed as industrial backfill or used as raw material in the manufacture of a product for e.g. blocks.
As a responsible corporate entity, Tiger is committed to the protection of the environment and the impact of Greenhouse Gases (GHG). At its certified waste treatment locations, Tiger has successfully quantified its GHG inventory for 2022, 2023 and 2024, and developed a Mitigation Assessment, which plots a roadmap for reducing our carbon footprint.
